Darn, darn, double darn. I was surrounded by musicians asking for my autograph and I was, well, a little incapacitated so I couldn't hold a pen. And I couldn't get the old lady to take my picture with any of them.

Oh, but I digressh... This weekend we had bunchesh of fun at the Riverhawk Music Festival in Dade City. We've been going for a zillion years and I love it every time.

I went with my beautiful Auntie, Daddy, the Old Lady and the Man With the Fuzzy face. Then all kinds of people joined us as well, including Daddy's friend, Race. I really like Race. He always says hi to me, even though I can tell he thinks a talking monkey is a little odd.

I spent most of my time there just hanging out with my friends and watching the big people. I guess we had a little too much fun the first night at the camp....

One of the really cool thing they had new this year at Riverhawk was a remembery booth. The Old Lady put a note for Daddy's friend Anthony that went to heaven too young. He was really nice. I miss him a lot.

But the absholutley cooleshed thing that happened was when the Old Lady found the guy from Peculiar Notions. He had a booth with all kinds of wonderful monkey things (and some artshy things too, but I'm not into arty shtuff). Actually, Auntie found it first and brought the Old Lady a cool monkey button. So, of course, I had to go check it out.

Look at all these wonderful monkey buttons I found. I kept going back and forth, "I want dish, no, I want dish one, no I really want dish one. Then then, you'll never guessh what happened next. The Old Lady ashked if he would make me a hat! My own hat! And she ashked if he could make it to match the picture on the pin Auntie found! I was sure he couldn't do it, but guess what!?!

He did!!!!

I think Riverhawk is the cooesht place ever!!!!!

As part of my continuing endeavor to be the most well rounded monkey alive, I convinced the Old Lady and the Man with the Fuzzy Face that it would be a really good idea to go on a cruise with a bunch of their old (and when I say, "old," I mean OLD!) classmates from high school. I'm sure they really wanted to meet me and hang out with me, and this seemed like the perfect way for them to do just that!

These are my peeps that I went on the cruise with. They were all a lot of fun! And, of course, they LOVED me!

I made some friends on the first day. They were very quiet, acted quite rude, and come to think of it, I never saw them again after this picture was taken. I hope they didn't fall over board!

There was some kind of joke with this jacket that I didn't understand, but it was a warm safe place to sit and watch the water go by. I was very uncomfortable being on deck with all that wind and all that water. The Old Lady even made horrible jokes about what would happen if I blew off the ship! I didn't even want to think about it!

I stayed hidden in our cabin most of the first day, but I came out to have dinner and cocktails. I guess I had a few too many because I ended up, well, kind of messing up the Man with the Fuzzy Face's coffee cup the next morning...

My new friend Charmaine is very fun. I am wearing my tux, of course, for the captains dinner. I never actually saw the captain, which doesn't make any sense. I would have thought he'd come right over and introduced himself, when he knew I was on board.

I made lots and lots of friends on the ship. This one was almost as quiet as the first two and he disappeared right about the same time the Old Lady took a shower. I don't understand where he went. Maybe the old lady with no clothes on was just too scary for him!

This is my friend from Cozumel. If you look really close, you will notice we both have similar outfits. My rebozo is more colorful though. His gun was kind of scary too, but he was really nice.

While we were in Cozumel, we went on a snorkeling trip. I thought this was the stupidest idea anyone every came up with! We got off the big ship, which was scary enough, and just as I was getting all excited to be on dry land again, we got on a teeny, tiny sailboat and went back out on the water! Then those crazy people put on masks and snorkles and went INTO the water! Accckkkk... I was terrified I would fly off the boat. So um... I guess I made it better by drinking just a little too much Tequila....

And beer....

But I made some more new friends and they thought I was WONDERFUL!

Until I, well, kind of barfed in their head....

So once we were back on board the big ship, I spent the rest of the afternoon chillin' with Portnoy and Gipsy in the cabin. It was much safer there!

That evening, they had a "private" cocktail party just for me and all the Old Lady's high school friends came to party with me.

This is me ordering a drink.......

And this is me drinking it...

But then, the most horrible thing happened! During the cocktail party for me, I found out that one of my new friends, this beautiful girl named Amy, who I thought was going to be my new girl friend, this wonderful person.... She lets her dog chew up little fuzzy people like me! I was heartbroken and devastated! So I went back to the cabin, put on my pajamas and sulked. The Old Lady insisted I go to dinner, but I refused to take off my pajamas....

And I wouldn't eat anything either, no matter how hard they tried to get me to......

In spite of that trauma, I had a really good time on the cruise and I can't wait to do it again.

Sho.... The old lady got a new job, shee... Back in April. It was at this place that moved stuff in big trucks. I went to work with her (of course) so I could help her figure stuff out. The "books" were a mess, according to the old lady. I never saw any books which is a good thing since I can't read very well, but that's another story. I never saw any trucks either, or I would have asked for a ride.

Anyway, the old lady finally introduced me to her co-worker, Barb. Barb turned out to be this very wonderful person who really loves little monkeys.

Shadly, the old lady decided the new job was taking too much time away from more important endeavors (like playing with little monkeys), so she decided to leave the new job. Her last day was today.

I was very unhappy, saying goodbye to my new friend Barb. The old lady promises we will stop in and say hello from time to time. She better keep her promise.

Barb gave me these beautiful flowers as a going away present. Aren't they lovely? Not as lovely as Barb, of course.

This weekend, we went camping up at Ft. Desoto. I like camping most of the time, as long as it doesn't rain. I don't like rain. The first day we were there, it rained a lot. I hid. In the camper. I'm very happy we have a camper. I can't even think about camping in a tent. Tents ALWAYS leak.

So there I am, enjoying the outdoors and the beautiful trees, when suddenly someone calls out, "MINKEY!!! Look out!!!!" I turned around just in time to see this huge hairy monster bearing down on me. He had long fangs, huge long claws and an enormous bushy tail. I was completely terrified and frozen in place.

Luckily, the old lady came out of the camper just at that moment and scared it off. Who knows what would have happened to me! After looking back though, at the picture, that fluffy tail sure would have made a great scarf, coat, or even a bed....

I love the girlsh... The girlsh love me... But what's not to love? I'm cute, soft, cuddly and I smell like sleepy time. Plush, I have a shoft voice and I can tell great shtories!

I will ride in on my white steed and carry off the beautiful maiden...

This weekend we had another very exciting weekend. I went up to check out Florida State University to see if I wanted to go to school there. It was a very long, tiring drive. We went through lots of scary rain. I don't like rain. I got left out in the rain once and got very wet. We went to dinner and sat outside and the whole time I was sure it was going to rain on me. But I digress....

We started off in the middle of the afternoon on Thursday. We stayed at a place called Aloft. I kept looking for the loft while we were there but I never found it. I don't know why they named it that if they weren't going to have a loft. I was looking forward to sleeping in that loft. But even with out the loft, the beds were very comfy. The next morning we ran out early because Auntie had an appointment with the film department at 9:30. I don't know what she needed to talk to the film department about since I'm the one who would be going to school there, but I was a good little monkey and didn't say anything.

The school was very nice but very big. A little monkey could easily get lost among all those big old buildings. The coach asked if I would considering being the teams quarterback, but I told him I didn't take anybody's quarter so I couldn't give it back, much less one to the whole team. We were given a very nice, very lonngggg tour by this nice student named Stephanie. She thought I was very cute and knew how important I was so wanted her picture taken with me. I am very glad I could ride in the old lady's backpack because my little feet would have been very sore and tired going up and down and up and down all of those crazy hills.

Now we are safely back home, but I have lots of decisions to make if I'm going to honor them with my presence and go to school there.

And yet more fans. Taylor Freydberg of the Wholetones wanted me to join their band, but I said their music moved a little too slow for me. Alex Dorris is in the background, bowing to my greatness.

My fan base just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I spent the morning learning from Ben Vereen. I wanted to offer him my autograph, but the old lady wouldn't let me approach him. I don't understand. He seemed very nice to me....
